Every solution on this site is a point of balance. If a problem is a system that will not return to rest, a solution is the practice that restores the rest — a form a household can keep, a rule a town can write, a tool a shop can open without a landlord. The Golden Rule names the order: first, do no harm; second, help. A solution is the second movement, written in language anyone can follow.
The manifesto is blunt about capacity. The means of superabundance already exist. What is missing is not another speech. It is the installed alternative — the room, the ledger, the garden, the open format, the counsel at the table, the vote that is one person and not one share. A solution page exists to make that alternative usable.
What a solution is
A solution is a specific, repeatable act or arrangement that subtracts an imbalance or adds a balance. It belongs to the same forty-area map as the problem it answers. The pair is not decoration. A lockbox without a year lease, a sealed machine without a spare, a captured till without an export — each problem has a counterpart that a person can still do.
The form is the same wherever the work sits:
- Name the practice in a sentence a neighbor can carry.
- Write the steps — who, what, when, with what tool or statute.
- Show the floor, not the fantasy: what one person or one shop can actually keep.
- Cite the source that makes the step checkable — a law, a directory, a method that already works.
- Leave the next door: the action of opting out of the harm and opting into this alternative.
What a solution is not
It is not a brand. It is not a personality. It is not a demand that everyone quit a life this week. It is not a claim that one Saturday ends a national count. A solution that cannot be practiced without a grant, a party, or a platform is still a dependency wearing better clothes.
It is also not a slogan that names the harm and stops. “Awareness” is not a fix. The test is whether a reader can do the next thing after the last paragraph — file a paper, keep a copy, refuse a clause, grow a pot, walk into a room, teach a skill.
How to use one
Read the paired problem first so the practice has a cause. Then take the first step that is already legal and already in reach. Scale later. The 40 Areas hold the full shelf. The method does not change from a kitchen to a courthouse: install what restores balance, and withdraw energy from what will not.
